La Luna Llena by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses
Built by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses for their client Pam, a retired art teacher, is La Luna Llena (“The Full Moon”). This 30′ tiny house will be Pam’s retirement home and was designed to display her art collection.
The exterior is a mix of galvanized corrugated metal along the bottom, cedar lap siding in the middle, and cedar board and batt along the top. A fold down porch and fold up awning rest against the house when in transit. The custom arch top door was made by Greg Parham using locally sourced rough cut ponderosa pine and a small stained glass window from Pam.
The interior of La Luna Llena is filled with warm wood finishes including blue stain pine, handscraped red oak flooring, and red oak built-ins. The kitchen features a large live edge beetle kill slab countertop, 24″ range, overhead microwave/hood, single bowl sink, and combo washer/dryer. Across from the kitchen is a fold down table that matches the counter.
The living room has a L-shaped couch with storage, an heirloom Indian cabinet with TV, and a Grizzly wood stove. Next to the couch is a mission style bookcase and cabinet make from red oak.
In the bathroom is a beautiful handmade glass vessel sink provided by Pam, which sits on a live edge slice of cherry.
