Rustic Modern Tiny House by Ana White and Her Husband in Alaska
This open concept tiny house from Ana White has all sorts of hidden storage space and multifunction furniture. The rustic modern 24-foot tiny home was designed and built by Ana and her husband in Alaska.
The exterior consists of standing seam metal roofing as the main siding and a cedar channel accent piece across the front. Large triple pane windows provide incredible views.
As you first enter the tiny house there is a pipe coat rack, shoe bench, and hanging baskets to keep your stuff organized. Next to the entry is a raised platform with rolling storage drawers on casters underneath. The drawers slide out and you can put out-of-season gear behind them. The raised platform is also helpful in cold climates since it allows the plumbing to be indoors and protected from the cold.
On the platform is the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has a cupboard that slides out from the entryway area, a large storage wall, open shelves, and a plant shelf in front of a window. The client wanted to use an induction burner and microwave for cooking, so there is no stove. There is an under counter refrigerator and one of the cabinets rolls out to reveal a space for the washer/dryer combo.
The middle of the tiny house is left open. Along one side is a large picture window and along the other side is a bookshelf over the wheel well with sliding barn doors. The doors swing up to convert into two office desks or a dining table that seats four.
The living room area has a sectional couch with storage underneath. The couch sections can be moved to form a full size guest bed. The living room quickly converts to a bedroom as an elevator bed slides down over the couch. (It was about $500 for the elevator bed hardware.)
