'Gardener's Cottage' is located in Historic Flat Rock on the 1938 Beckon Ridge Estate. Overlooking a picture perfect pond, you will feel the stress drain from your soul as you listen to the sound of water running downstream and watch the fish swim casually about. How can this special place be so close to town?
Inside you will find the 1 BR & 1 bath cottage comfortable and cozy. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area overlooking the pond & living room with 32 inch flat screen TV. The furniture is comfortable and practical.
Up the spiral stair (or the exterior steps) is the lovely bedroom with queen sized bed and bathroom with stall shower and laundry area. The cottage has central air and heat and is bright and airy.
Sit outside the bedroom on the small covered balcony to enjoy your morning coffee, evening cocktail or to read a book. It is a lovely private space overlooking the pond, dam and grounds.
While walking along the stream & around the pond (you may stay on the paved drive if you prefer), remember to stop for a bit to sit on a bench or one of the stone steps and notice how nature surrounds you. The wonderful wildlife and foliage is not to be missed.
If you come by motorcycle, you probably know that this whole area is a Bikers Bonanza with great rides in all directions! Cruise Little River Rd, to Crab Creek to Dupont Forest or to Pisgah Forest and the ultimate...the Blue Ridge Parkway. (For your convenience, covered bike parking is gladly provided at the main house.)
All that Historic Flat Rock has to offer, the shops at Little Rainbow Row, Carl Sandburg's Connemara Farm, the goats, the Playhouse are all less than 2 miles away...and Hendersonville's historic Main Street is only 3 miles away, with many excellent restaurants, shops, and exhibits...and Saluda, The Green River Gorge with kayaking, tubing, waterfalls fishing and - ZIP LINES OVER THE TREES- all within a half hours drive. Breweries and Wineries abound!
