Of course, being built in our log home style, this home is bulletproof, and is the gold standard in terms of resilience when it comes to earthquakes. And, importantly these days, the eco credentials are tough to beat!
If you have the experience you can build yourself, or just hire a builder and sub-trades and manage the project. Build the Bellbird off the plan or have us modify it to suit your needs (verandah anyone?). The kitset includes everything above the floor to get you to lock-up stage. We can supply other materials on request (eg, timber foundation/floor kit). We have options to upgrades window joinery, include kitchen and bathroom fixtures, etc, etc. There’s no problem building on a concrete floor, or timber piles.
The price above is for the kitset only, and doesn’t include the land, labour, subtrades, or freight. We supply the kitset from our factory in Christchurch. I can provide an estimate for freight if you let me know where you are planning to build. We’ll also need to review the wind and snow loadings specific to your section.
We aim to make your life easier, and as part of this we have included an allowance for us to look after the detailing and building consent process for you. It’s sufficient for a BC application on a flat site with good ground - if you need a resource consent or specific engineering design there may be an additional fee.
