Built using a brand new 20' hi-cube container and all new hardware including high gloss Ikea cabinetry, solid maple counters, 12K BTU mini split ac, solid bamboo flooring, shiplap pine ceiling with recessed LED lighting. Insulation in the ceiling-2" rigid foam tight up against the roof and an additional 3.5" of insulation make for R25 value which is great considering that the direct sun is blocked out by super rigid ribbed sheet metal covering the entire unit. The walls are finished inside with 2x4 studs, R13 insulation and 1/2" drywall as in a standard house. The kitchen features a 2 burner electric cook top and an in-cabinet microwave. There is a refrigerator-freezer smartly nestled under the counter to save space. The sink is full size and plenty of hot water suppied by a 10 gal. water heater. The futon is an efficient solution for hanging out and sleeping. The 2 tall cabinets offer plenty of storage for your clothes and other belongings.
The bathroom is all about the outdoor experience! A porcelain RV toilet that uses very minimal water, a re purposed automotive sparkplug cabinet made into the vanity providing charming storage and an awesome exposed copper piped shower! The bathroom area, created by the end doors being propped open and covered for privacy, is easily unbolted for transport.
The kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower drain through a garden hose as grey water. The toilet is flushed into a 27 gal RV holding tank.
Electrical needs are supplied by a standard 30 amp plug, like an RV. All wiring in the house are 12 ga, 20amp circuit breaker protected circuits. The water supply connects from a garden hose.
This 20' container house is easily moved on a tilt bed towtruck.
